SKRIPSI USING CLASSDOJO APPLICATION TO IMPROVE THE RECOUNT TEXT WRITING SKILL OF TENTH GRADERS OF MA YAJRI PAYAMAN IN THE SCHOOL YEAR OF 2020/2021

Writing is one of four skills that should be mastered by Senior High School students. A lot of students were not active and got difficulties to write English. This study was conducted in order to improve students’ writing skill of tenth graders of MA Yajri Payaman in the school year 2020/2021 using Classdojo Application. The purposes of this research were (1) to identify the use of Classdojo application to improve recount text writing skill of the tenth graders of MA Yajri Payaman in the school year of 2020/2021, (2) to find out the result of the research after using Classdojo application to improve the students’ motivation in recount text writing skill of tenth graders of MA Yajri Payaman in the school year of 2020/2021. The data were collected by using Classdojo application. The methodology of the research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted to solve the students’ problem in English writing. The writer has undertaken two cycles to give students opportunity for particing their English writing. The writer took 17 students of MA Yajri Payaman in X IPA C Putra. The writer used test and non-test to collect the data. The test is about writing test while the non-test were observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The writer noted all of the processes during learning activities. The finding of this study showed that based on questionnaire and observation, the use of Classdojo application to teach reount text’s writing skill increase the student’s motivation. The test results of the research showed in Precycle is 66.5, Cycle I is 72.6, and Cycle II is 79.5. It means using Clasdojo application can increase the students writing of recount text. The result of this research showed that using of Classdojo application is effective to improve the students’ writing skill. In addition, it improves the students’ motivation. The students became more enjoy to write English. The writer suggests that English teacher could using Classdojo application in teaching writing in order to improve students’ writing skill.
