The study was conducted at Tidar University with the subjects being English Department students in the academic year 2020/2021 who had joined online public speaking class. Case study with a descriptive qualitative approach was used by employing questionnaire, interview, and documentation as the data collection techniques. The writer handed out the questionnaire which consisted of 17 items to 30 respondents and did the interview to 15 interviewees. Then, the data results were analyzed based on the theory of Miles, Huberman, & Saldana (2014) and were validated by using data validation according to Denzin (1970). The results of this study indicated that the respondents perceived the efficiency and the usefulness of this class in terms of the flexibility of time, space and place and the availability of technologies and electronic tools. The implementation of online public speaking class has given the benefits to the students particularly in terms of flexibility in time and space, ease and quick share of educational material, quick feedback, access to study resources effectively and updated learning material. It can be concluded most of the respondents gave their positive judgments toward online public speaking class and most of them got the benefits from it. Nonetheless, there were still problems found in this study which affected the interactivity and collaboration during the teaching learning process in terms of the internet connection and delayed feedback. Therefore, the improvement of lecturer’ strategy was needed to make the students become active, responsive and involved during the learning process.
