SKRIPSI IMPROVING THE STUDENT’S WRITING SKILLS OF NARRATIVE TEXT THROUGH QUANTUM LEARNING STRATEGY OF TENTH GRADERS IN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL API AL –HUDA IN THE SCHOOL YEAR OF 2021/2022

This study was conducted to students who have problems in writing narrative text. The students in senior high school API Al-Huda, especially tenth grade, faced several problems in writing such as lack of vocabularies, some of them tended to copy and paste from the books or their friends' work. Besides, the student did not have motivation in learning. Therefore, the teacher should find an alternative model that might be able to solve the writing problem in narrative is Quantum Learning Strategy. In this research, the problem is (1) Can the use of Quantum Learning Strategy increase the learning student’s motivation for narrative text writing skills? (2)“How can the students' writing skills in narrative text be improved through the use of Quantum Learning Strategy?” And the objective of the study is (1) To know whether the use of Quantum Learning Strategy can increase the learning motivation of the Narrative text writing skills (2) to know whether the students can improve writing skills especially in narrative text by using Quantum Learning Strategy. The design of this research is classroom action research. The research subject is X class consisting of 34 students, and all of them are female students. From the data, it can be concluded using Quantum Learning Strategy can improve the students’ motivation to pay attention on teacher explanation of students in the teaching learning process used Quantum Learning strategy was succeed. In the pretest the mean score was 56.44, in the first cycle the mean 66.29, and in the second cycle the test mean score was 75.58. In the first cycle of writing test, in pretest 0% students got points more than 70, in the first cycle test 26.4% students who got score more than 70, and the improvement was 26.4% from pretest to cycle 1. In the second cycle, 91.17% students got more than 70, and the improvement was 64.77% from cycle 1 and 2. According to the result above it means that teaching writing on Narrative text through Quantum Learning Strategy by using pictures and music can improve the students’ writing skills through Quantum Learning Strategy.
