The aims of this study are (a) to find out the difficulties of teachers in teaching writing using Google Classroom, (b) to find out the factors that caused the teachers’ difficulties in teaching writing using Google Classroom, (c) to find out the strategies used by teachers in teaching writing using Google Classroom. The research method used is qualitative in the form of case study. The subjects of this study were four English teachers at an Islamic high school in Jepara. Interview and observation were used to collect the data. The data that has been collected is analysed by the writer to classify the difficulties, factors and strategies of teachers in teaching writing using Google Classroom. The results showed that teachers faced several difficulties when teaching writing in online learning using Google Classroom. Among the difficulties are 1)difficulties related to student's equipment, 2)difficulties in using mobile data, 3)internet connection problems, 4)difficulties in motivating students (student's enthusiasm), 5)difficulties in increasing student's awareness/interest, 6)difficulties in understanding student's responses, 7)difficulties in managing time, 8)difficulties in collecting online assignments, 9)difficulties in keeping students active in the classroom. To overcome these difficulties, the strategies used by the teacher include giving tolerance to students who have difficulties, presenting interesting material with various supporting media and also varied teaching methods, giving praise and awards to students, reminding students to collect assignments, more often ask students to ask the teacher when they have difficulties in understanding the material, and also give punishment to students who are less disciplined.
