In ELT, assessment is an essential component of the teaching process. A test must be well-designed and high-quality to assess pupils' skills effectively. Item analysis is a standard tool for evaluating test quality. In addition, the pandemic in Indonesia requires students to do the test online. It happened at SMPIT Ihsanul Fikri Magelang. Based on preliminary observations at SMPIT Ihsanul Fikri Magelang, the writer discovered that the primary teacher created the summative exam as a final examination by herself and that the test had never been analyzed. Established on the problem above, this study was intended to fulfill two objectives. They were to identify the difficulty level and the discrimination index of the online English summative test in the form of a final examination for class 8A SMPIT Ihsanul Fikri Magelang in the Academic Year of 2021/2022. This study used the descriptive-quantitative method. The numerical data on summative test items at SMPIT Ihsanul Fikri Magelang was collected and analyzed, then described using the content analysis technique. The data was analyzed using item analysis software called ANATES V4 to determine the difficulty level and discrimination indexes. In reliance on the findings and discussion, it can be resumed that the difficulty level on the multiple-choice question item is 2.5% difficult, 40% average, 35% easy, and 22.5% very easy. The percentage of discrimination index of the 40 multiple-choice questions analyzed was distributed in 3 parts, 17.5% very low, 30% low, and 52.5% high items.
