Reading comprehension is an important part of students’ academic and non-academic life. However, there is a low achievement of it. The aims of this research are to know whether there is any difference of two classes which are taught by using Mindly application and note taking or not and to know how significant the difference is. This is an experimental research with quantitative method. The sample of this research are students from X Pharmacy 1 (experimental group) and X Pharmacy 2 (control group) of Citra Medika Vocational High School.
Normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test were used to measure the result of the test. The result of normality test for pre-test experimental group is 0.129. The result of post-test experimental group is 0.113. The result of pre-test control group is 0.180. The result of post-test control group is 0.144. Those four results of normality test are more than 0.05, it means the data is distributed normally.
The second result is the homogeneity test result. The test result based on mean is 0.022. The test result based on median is 0.024. The test result based on median with adjusted df is 0.024. The test result based on trimmed mean is 0.022. Those four results are less than 0.05, it means the data is heterogenous.
The finding of this research based the use of t-test in the data measurement shows that correlation between t-value and t-table is 4.519 > 2.021. It means there is difference between students in two groups. The Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05 shows that there is significant difference between students who are taught by using Mindly application and note taking. Therefore, based on the results of the research, teacher should provide an interesting way of learning to increase reading comprehension by using Mindly application in the learning activity.
