Speaking is a way of conveying thoughts, information, and emotions to other individuals. It is most crucial method for the narrator to express himself in language. Nonetheless, in practice, EFT students frequently encounter speaking difficulties such as students keep repeating the same statement but using a different choice of words. To be able to find out what are the speaking difficulty most often encountered by EFT students and what are the influencing factors, the writer distributed questionnaire and conducted interview. The writer aims to find out the most encountered speaking difficulty faced by the EFT students and the factors influenced speaking difficulty in Practicum in English for Tourism students in academic year 2022/2023. The objective of this research is to describe the result of the questionnaire and interview that discussed about speaking difficulty. The type of the research was Qualitative Research. The subject of this research was 30 students of EFT Class 1 of English Department Universitas Tidar in academic year 2022/2023. The writer distributed questionnaire and conducted interview to collect the data. The findings of this study showed that based on questionnaire and interview, that the most encountered students’ speaking difficulty is stress, rhythm, and intonation, and the factor influence speaking difficulty is because English is not their mother language, so it is quite difficult for them to speak using the right stress in every word because they are not an English native speaker.
