SKRIPSI THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING NURSERY RHYMES TO IMPROVE THE PRONUNCIATION OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

This study was conducted to The Effectiveness of Using Nursery Rhymes to Improve The Pronunciation of elementary school students. The objectives of the study were to know the difference in pronunciation ability who taught using ursery rhyme and the effetiveness of nursery rhymes to improve students' pronunciation ability.
The type of the study is a quasi-experimental research. The subject is from experiment and control class in Rainbow Kid Course. The data collecting procedures are pre-test, post-tes, and calculating. To get the data score, the writer gave a pre-test, a treatment, and a post-test to the students. Data analysis in this research is using t-tes and one way anova.
The writer found the result of the t-test is 3.661, if the t-test is compared with the t-table with 9 degrees of freedom as stated by hypothesis testing; T-count 3.661 higher than T-table 1.883. This means that there is a significant difference between the scores of the experimental class and the control class. The anova test get the P-value is 0,0009, it means that the P-value is lowest than the alpha α = 0,05. It can conclude that there is significant difference in students’ pronunciation ability in experiment and control class. The nursery rhymes is effective to teach pronunciation ability to students. From the data that the writer got there is difference in students’ pronunciation ability who taught use nursery rhyme and who are taught using other method.
