Listening is one of the four skills to be developed in learning English. Listening is capturing, understanding, and remembering what is heard as well as possible. However, listening skills still need to be improved for most students. Using interesting strategies and media can improve students' motivation and listening skills and reduce their difficulties. The objective s of this study were (1) to find out whether the use of the Inquiry - Based Learning strategy and Edpuzzle media can improve the learning motivation of the listening skills of procedure text of the 8G graders of SMP Negeri 1 Kedawung. (2) to find out whether using the Inquiry - Based Learning strategy and Edpuzzle media can improve the listening skills of procedure text of the 8G graders of SMP Negeri 1 Kedawung. The writer conducted Class Action Research (CAR), which is divided into Pre - cycle, Cycle I, and Cyc le II. The subjects of this study were 28 students in the 8G class of SMP Negeri 1 Kedawung. The writer used observation, questionnaire, documentation, and test to collect the data. The results of this study indicated that students are motivated to receive the implementation of the Inquiry - Based Learning strategy and Edpuzzle media in listening procedure text. The writer compared the results of observation and questionnaires in the Pre - cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II to determine the improvement in student mot ivation. In the Pre - cycle, the average of student's motivation was 52% or low, in Cycle I, it was 66% or fair, and in Cycle II, it was 81% or high. The test results showed that most students improved their listening skills on the procedure text material. T he average score in Pre - cycle was 65.5 or fair, in Cycle I was 71.9 or good, and in Cycle II was 82.1 or good. The writer suggests that the teacher uses different strategies and media while teaching; therefore, the inquiry - based learning strategy and Edpu zzle media can be alternative strategies. It is better for students to improve their procedure text listening skills by applying the Inquiry - Based Learning strategy and Edpuzzle media.
