SKRIPSI PENGARUH SAAT DAN CARA PEMBUANGAN BUNGA JANTAN TERHADAP HASIL JAGUNG (Zea mays L.) BABY CORN VARIETAS CPI-1

ABSTRACT
The research about the effect of time and methods of tassels exiling to the yield of baby corn variety CPI-1, had been carried out since Oktober 31, 1994 until January 7, 1995 at Kramat village, North Magelang sub district, Magelang regency, Central Java Province on the altitude. 380 m above the sea level. The method experiment used was Paktorial Method based on Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD), consisted of two treatment factors with three replications. 1. Time of tassels exile as Factor I: 81: Detasseling moment is still in flag leaf S2: Detasseling after 5 days appear from the flag leaf 83: Detasseling after 10 days appear from the flag leaf S4: Detasseling after 15 days appear from the flag leaf 2. The methos of tassels exile as Factor II: P1: cuting P2: extracting P3: folding The result of the research showed that the time of detasseling was very significant for the number of cob which fulfill the harvest criterion per plant, weight of ear per plant, weight of cob per plant, significant for lenght of cob per plant, diametre of cob per plant and weight of ear per plot. The treatment about detasseling methods was very sig- nificant for the number of cob which fulfill the harvest criterion per plant, weight of ear per plant, weight of cob per plant and weight of ear per plot, significant for the diametre of cob per plant, lenght of cob per plant. The highest weight of cob per plant was achieved at the combination treatment in the detasseling time after 5 days appear from the flag leaf by extracting, that is about 43,50 gram.
