SKRIPSI PENGARUH DOSIS PUPUK NITROGEN DENGAN DUA MACAM VARIETAS TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI KUBIS DI DATARAN RENDAH

ABSTRACT
The experiment concerning the effect of nitrogen fer- tilizer dose on two varieties of cabbage growth and producth tion at lowland plain, had been carried out on October, 15 until January, 27, 1989. Its located at Agriculture High School aren Purwokerto, Banyumas district, Central Java pro- vince. The soil type is Red-Yellow Podzolic, pH = 5,4 altitude of 110 meter sea level.
Its objective to gain nitrogen dose optimum and the best variety on cabbage growth and production at lowland plain.
The design was used Split Plot Design and base designRandomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). Three (3) replica-
tions. Main treatment is two varieties (V):
V1 : Hybrid 632 variety
V2 : K-Y Cross variety
Sub treatment are nitrogen dose variations (N):
N : non treatment
N1 : 60 kg N/ha dose
N2 : 120 kg N/ha dose
N3 : 180 kg N/ha dose
N4 : 240 kg N/ha dose
The result of experiment indicate that variety signi- ficant on plant height, maximum of leaves length, maximum of leaves wide, crop weight per plant, crop wight per plot, crop diameter and production (ton/ha), but non significant on leaves number. Between two varieties experiment, K-Y Cross variety (V) to give growth and production higher than Hy- brid 632 (V) variety. The highest production on K-Y Cross variety (V) that is 31,768 ton/ha. On Hybrid 632 variety (V) that is 26,483 ton/ha.
Nitrogen fertilizer treatment with 180 kg N/ha (N₂) increasing for cabbage growth and production, were plant height, maximum of leaves length, maximum of leaves wide, leaves of number, crop weight per plant, crop weight per - plot, crop diameter and production (ton/ha) cabbage; but ni- trogen fertilizer with more than 180 kg N/ha done will re-duce cabbage production.
Non interaction for interval variety treatment (V) and nitrogen fertilizer dose (N) for all parameters ob- served.
