SKRIPSI PENGARUH JARAK TANAM GANDA DAN KETINGGIAN PEMBUMBUNAN TERHADAP HASIL KACANG TANAH (Arachis hypoges, L) VARITAS MACAN

ABSTRACT
The experiment concerning the effect of double plant spacing and height of bed to yield of peanut of Macan variety had been conducted at P3PAL Soropadan, Temanggung, Central Java from November 1996 to March 1997 with Latosol soil type, at altitude of 550 meters above sea levels and climate type (Schmidh-Fergusson).
This factorial experiment 3 x 4 used randomized com- plete block design with three replications. The first factor is double plant spacing, consisted of le- vels (40x10x10), (40x15x15) and (40x20x20) cm. The second factor is he height of bed 0, 5, 10, and 15 cm.
The results of this experiment show that wide double plant spacing reduces plant height and increases number of branch, fresh weight of straw, number of gynofors, number of pods, number of filled pods, number of seeds, weight of pods per plot. Height of bed influence to the increasing of total pods weight of 100 seeds and weight of pods per
plot.
The highest yield is on double plant spacing 40x20x20 cm and heigh of bed 10 cm, that is 3,4 kg.
