SKRIPSI PENGARUH JUMLAH RUAS DAN LAMA PEMERAMAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN STEK LADA (Piper nigrum)
ABSTRACT
The experiment about the effect of number of nodes and duration of aging on growth of pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum), had been done since September 12, until December 12, 2001 in Kaliabu Village, Salaman District, Magelang Regency with the altitude 500 m. The experiment uses factorial (3x4) experiment on randomized complete block design, with three replications. The first factor is number of nodes on cutting: 3, 5 and 7 nodes. The second factor is duration of aging: 0, 7, 14 and 21 days aging. The results of the research show that the treatment of five nodes cutting has the highest response on leaves number, roots number and fresh weight of shoot. The highest growth of pepper cutting signed by the most number of roots in 11,44 days or 274,56 hours, the heaviest fresh weight of shoot in 11,96 days or 287,04 hours and also the heaviest dry weight of shoot in 11,55 days or 277,2 hours. Pepper cuttings give the same response on length of aging at each of nodes on cuttings.
