SKRIPSI PENGARUH MACAM VARIETAS DAN FREKUENSI PEMANGKASAN TERHADAP HASIL BENGKUANG ( Pachyrrhizus erosus ( L ) Mrb )

ABSTRACT

The Research about effect of the kinds of variety and cutting frequency to the yield of bengkuang (Pachyrrhizus (L) Mrb), has been carried out in January 9, until May 15, 1994 at Triwarno Village, Kutowinangun District, Kebumen Regency, Central Java. The soil type Podsolik with 4.5 pH and the altitude is 13 m above the sea level.
The research method used was the split plot design based on randomized complete block design (RSBD), consist of 2 factors with 3 replications.
The first factor (main plot): Kinds of variety (two level)
V1 = Wulung variety
V2 = local prembun variety
The second factor (sub plot): cutting frequency (four levels)
Po = no cutting (control)
P1 = every three days cutting
P2 = every six days cutting
P3 = every nine days cutting
Between Wulung variety and local Prembun variety give significant difference on number of tubers, weight of tubers, number of branches, fresh weight of straw and dry. weight of straw. A significant difference lies on diametre of tubers.
The frequency of cutting on bengkuang has no significant effect on the diametre of tubers, but significant effect on the diametre of tubers, weighit tubers, fresh weight of straw, dry weight of straw are P gives better yield, treatments P3 and P2 give significant difference. Interaction betweenn the treatments are not significant. no two treatments are not significant.
