SKRIPSI PENGARUH LAMA PENYIMPANAN BENIH DAN KONSENTRASI KNO3 TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT KARET ( Hevea brasiliensis MA )

ABSTRACT

The experiment about the effect of seed storage duration and KNO concentration for the growth seedlings of rubber, had been carried out since March 19, 1990 until June 19, 1990 at Potrobangsan, Magelang, Central Java. The soil type is regosol with pH 6.5 on the altitude 375 m above sea level.
Experiment design used factorial with arranged by Completely Randomized Design (RCD) using two treatments factor and three replications. The first treatment factor, storage duration of seed (L) were :
L1 = The storage of seed as long as 4 days
L2 = The storage of seed as long as 8 days
L3 = The storage of seed as long as 12 days
The second treatment factor, KNO3 concentration (K) were:
Ko = Soaking in the water
K1 = Soaking in the concentration KNO 0.25%
K2 = Soaking in the concentration KNO 0.50%
K3 = Soaking in the concentration KNO3 0.75%
The result experiment was the combination treatment storage duration on 8 days with concentration KNO 0.75% (LK) have the highest of seedlings height and number of lateral roots. Although treatment duration of storage on 8 days with concentration KNO 0.50% (12 K2) gives the highest percentage of seedlings."
