SKRIPSI PENGARUH MACAM MEDIA DAN MACAM HORMON SINTETIS TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT PEPAYA ( Carica papaya L )

ABSTRACT

The research is titled "The Effect of Media And Kind of Sintetic Hormon On Growth of Papaya Seedling (Carica papaya L)", was started from 10 March until 12 May 1996. The research was in green house of Agriculture Fakulty of Tidar Magelang University, in Potrobangsan, North Mage- lang District, Magelang City, Central Java. The altitude. was 376 meters above sea lavel. The soil type latosol with pH 6,5.
The research uses factorial methode with fondation design of randomized completely design (RCD), consists of two factors with three repelications. The first factor consists three levels, M1 soil corral manure of chicken ash, M2 soil corral manure of chicken + organic soil, M3 soil corral manure of chicken + azolla. The second factor consists of four levels, HO = control, H1 Atonik 500 ppm, H2 Giberelin 100 ppm, H3 = Dharmasri 5 EC 50 ppm.
The result of research shows that growing media in creases of growth rate of seedling height, diameter of stam, fresh weight, dry weight of seedling. The sintetic hormon is able to increases viability of seed, to able of to step up leght of tap root, leaves number, fresh weight, and dry weigth of seedling. The interaction between media and sintetic hormon in creases leaves number and fresh weight of seedling. The vigorous result- ed from treatment M1 (soil corral manure of chicken + ash) combined to H2 (Giberelin 100 ppm), means fresh weight 70.60 grams and dry weight 6.77 grams.
