SKRIPSI PENGARUH MACAM MEDIA DAN JUMLAH MATA TUNAS TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN STEK MAWAR (Rosa sp)

ABSTRACT
The experiment of the effect of kind of media on growth of cuttings of rose (Rosa sp), had been carried out since Juny until August 1999, in Sanden Village, North Magelang Regency, Central Java. Soil Types is Latosol. With pH 6,3 and altitude 340 m.
The method of experiment is factorial (3 x 3) method on completely randomized design with three replications. The first factor is kind of media with combination bamboo leaves with the manure of sheeps, buffaloes and chicken with equaling (3: 1). The second faktor is number of buds with three levels: 2, 4 and 6.
The result of the research shows that the treatment of what of media bamboo leaves the manure of chicken indicates highest yield to the shoot number, leaves number, lenght of root, fresh weight and dry weight of roots. Which one of buds on cuttings highest to the shoot number, the length of shoot, leaves number, length of roots, fresh weight and dry weight of roots.
The effect of kind of medium may have differents response at number of buds distance on number of leaves. The best growth of rose seedlings is gained on media bamboo leaves the manure of chicken and number of shoot four.
