SKRIPSI PENGARUH DOSIS PUPUK N DAN POPULASI TERHADAP HASIL TANAMAN OKRA (Abelmoschus esculantus)

ABSTRACT
The research about the effect of dose of N and population on yield of ocra (Abelmoschus esculantus) had been done since march 11, to May 19, 1998 at Pucang village, Bawang District, Banjarnegara Regency, central Java. The kind of soil is latosol with pH 6,3 and the altitude is 340 meter.
The method is factorial experiment ( 3x3 ) with randomized completedy block design, consisted three replications. The firsh factor is : dose of N 100 kg/ha, dose of N 200 kg/ha, dose of N 300 kg per ha. The scond factor is population 28 per plot, population 24 per plot, population 20 per plot.
The result of the experiment shows that :
1. Dose of N 200 kg/ha can fasten flower blossom, increase number of fruits per plant weight of fruits per plant, weight of fruits per partition, fresh weight of straw, dry weight of straw but height of plant is shorter.
2. Population 24 per plot can fasten flower blossom, increase number of fruits per plant, weight of fruits per plant, fresh weight of straw, dry weight of straw but height of plant is shoter and weight of fruit per partition is smaller.
3. Interaction between dose of N and population influence height of plant, flower blossom, fresh weight of straw, dry weight of straw but number of fruits per plant, weight of fruits per plant, weight of fruits per partition not influence interaction.
4. Dose of N 200 kg per ha and population 24 per plot tend to give highest yield with number of fruits per plant 12,45 with weight 159,14 g fruits quality better.
