SKRIPSI PENGARUH LETAK PEMANGKASAN BATANG UTAMA TERHADAP HASIL BEBERAPA VARIETAS KACANG TUNGGAK (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp)

ABSTRACTS
The research of effect of main stem cutting position on several varieties of cowpea plant (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp) Was done from June, 5th 1991 until September, 3th 1991, at Potro- bangsan village, North Magelang district, Magelang City. The al- titude is 375 meters above sea level, the soil type is regosol.
The method of this experiment is Split-Plot Design (SPD) with Randomized Completed Block Design (RCBD) as area design,
consisted two factors of treatment and four replications.
Factor I: Variety (V) as main plot, consist of three levels:
V1: Local variety of Bantul
V2: Local variety of Tegal
V3: KT-1
Factor II: Main stem cutting position (2) as sub plot, consist
of four levels:
P0 : without cutting
P1 : cutting at 1 cm above second phalanx
P2: cutting at 1 cm above third phalanx
P3: cutting at 1 cm above fourth phalanx
The result of experiment has shown that varietie was very significantly effect to number pods per plant, number pods per bunch, number bunches per plant, number of well-filled pods per plant and yield per ha. And was significantly effect to number of fertile nodes, plant height and dry weight of crown.
Main stem cutting position has shown that no significantly different effect to all parameters. No interaction in the all parameters.
The youngest of the age of flowering and the age af yield was resulted with V3 (KT-1), whereas in the other parameter, the best result was with V2 (local Tegal variety).
