SKRIPSI PENGARUH DOSIS SINAR GAMMA ( Co - 60 ) TERHADAP HASIL BEBERAPA VARIETAS KACANG TANAH ( Arachis hyopgaea L. )

ABSTRACT
An experiment to study the effect of dose of gamma ray of Co-60 on yield of peanut varieties (Arachis hypogaea L.), was carried out from Oktober 8, 1996 to January 11, 1997 at Keduren village, Purwodadi distrio, Purworejo regenoy. The soil type is latosol with pH 6,4 and altitude 12 meter above sea level. The radiation of peanut had been done at BATAN Jakarta.
The research uses factorial experiment (2 x 5) with split plot design. Randomized Complete Block with three replications. The first factor is: main plot, consisted Kelinci and Gajah variety. The second factor is dose of gamma. ray: 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 krad.
The result of the experiment shows :
1. Each variety gives dif ferent characters on harvesting age, height of plants, number of mature pods, weight of dry mature pods, weight of grain, number of three pods, weight of 100 grain and weight of dry biomass.
2. Inoreasing of dose of gamma rays prolong the age of ha.rvest, decreased height of plants, number of mature pods, weight of dry mature pods, weight of grain, weight of 100 grain and weight of dry biomass.
3. All parameter exept on number of three pods, Gajah variety, responses better to gamma ray dose than Kelinci variety.
4. Morfological change took place on treated plants, the height is shorter.
