SKRIPSI PENGARUH SAAT TANAM DAN POPULASI TANAMAN SAWI (Brassica juncea) TERHADAP HASIL TUMPANGSARI DENGAN TAΝΑΜΑΝ ΤΟΜAT (Lycopersicum esculentum)

ABSTRACT
The experiment is to study the effect of transplanting date and population of mustard (Brassica uncea) on yield of multiple cropping with plant tomato (Lycopersicum esculentun). The experiment had been carried out since September 29th until December 27th 1997 at Kepitu village, Trimulyo, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The soil type latosol with pH 6,5 and altitude 300 mete r s .
The method uses factorial experiment (3 x 4) with randomized complete block design, consited of three replications. The first factor is population of mustard consisted of three level : 480, 270 and 173 plant per plot. The second factor is the transplanting date, consisted of four level : tomato and mustard planted at the same time, transplanting date of mustard 5 days after tomato planted, transplanting date of mustard 10 days after tomato planted and transplanting date of mustard 15 days after tomato planted.
The result of the experiment :
1. Population 480 plants per plot increase of leaves per plan t . Populations 173 plants per plot increase for plant height of tomsto, fresh weight of straw for tomato and plant height of mustard.
2. The same transplanting date increase fresh weight of biology yield, fresh weight of economy yield, eight of dry straw for mustard. Transplanting date of mustard 5 days after tomato planted increase plant height of tomato. Transplanting date of mustard 10 days after tomato planted increase fresh weight of straw for tomato, weight of dry straw for tomato and increase plant height of mustard.
