SKRIPSI PENGARUH SAAT PEMANGKASAN PUCUK DAN DOSIS PUPUK SP-36 TERHADAP HASIL TANAMAN MENTIMUN ( Cucumis sativus L. )

ABSTRACT
The experiment to know the effect of prunning age and dose of SP-36 fertilizer on yield of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) had been carried out since 10 March until 9 June 1997 at Girikulon village, Secang distric, Magelang regency. The soil type is lathosol with pH 6,5 and altitude 380 me- ters above sea level.
The method used is factorial experiment (3x3) with ran- domized complete block design, consisted of three replica- tions. The first factor is prunning age, consisted of three levels: 1 week, 2 weeks and 3 weeks prunning age. Second factor is SP-36 fertilizer dose, consisted of three levels :
0, 100 dan 200 kg/ha SP-36.
The result of the experiment showed that :
1. Later age of prunning can fasten age of flowering, in- crease number of leaves per plant, lenght of fruits and volume of fruits, but can not influence ratio of produc- tion..
2. The rise of SP-36 fertilizer dose can increase number of leaves per plant, lenght of fruits and volume of fruits, but can not influence for age of flowering and ratio of production.
3. The size of longer and bigger cucumber which gained at the first of harvest.
