SKRIPSI PENGARUH DOSIS SINAR GAMMA ( Co-60 ) DAN KONSENTRASI COLCHICINE TERHADAP HASIL BAWANG MERAH ( Allium ascalonicum L ) KULTIVAR BIMA
ABSTRACT
An experiment concering the dose of gamma rays radiation and colchicine concentration on yield of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L) cultivare Bima had been conducted at Sudimoro Vallage, Srumbung District, Magelang Regency, Central Java Province, Kind of soil is regosol, the soil pH 5,7. The radiation of bulb had been done at BATAN Jakarta.
The research uses (4x4) factorial experiment with randomized completly block design (RCBD), wich consist of three replications the first factor: Dosage of gamma rays radiation, consisted of 0, 4, 5 and 6 Gy. The second fac- tor: Colchicine concentration, consisted of 0, 0,0105, 0.0176 and 0.0282%.
The result of this experiment:
Increasing dose of gamma rays radiation can increases number of bulb, but decreases number of leaves, fresh weight of bulb, dry weight of bulb, fresh weight of straw, dry weight of straw, diameter of bulb.
Increasing colchicine concentration can increases height of plant but decreases number of leaves, fresh weight of bulb, dry weight of bulb, diameter of bulb.
Increasing concentration of colchicine at each dose of gamma rays canses different rate of fresh weight of bulb, dry weight of bulb and diameter of bulb. The higest yield found at treatment of gamma rays radiation dose 0 Gy and colchicine concentration 0%. The fresh weight of bulb is 46,69 g and dry weight of bulb is 31,82 g and diameter of bulb is 2,14 cm.
