SKRIPSI PENGARUH DOSIS DAN SAAT PEMBERIAN KALIUM PADA HASIL UBI JALAR ( Ipomoea batatas (L) Lamb )
ABSTRACT
An experiment of the effect of dose and application time of potassium on yield of sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas (L) Lamb.), had been done since October 11th, 2002 until January 30th 2003 at BPP Mungkid Progowati Village, Mungkid District, Magelang Regency, kind of soil is regosol, pH is 6,8 and the altitude is 295 meters.
The experiment method is factorial experiment (4x3) with completely randomized block design and three replications. The first factor is dose of kalium 0, 50, 100 and 150 kg/ha. The second factor is aplications time: 0; 0, 30; 0, 30, 60 days after planting.
The result of the research shows that the highest yield quantity of sweet potato (tuber weight per plant) reached at dose of potassium application 78,46 kg/ha. The more application of potassium dose until 150 kg/ha may increase sugar content. Two times potassium application treatment, on 0 and 30 days after planting increases plant length, number of tuber per plot, tuber weight per plant, tuber weight per plot and sugar content. The different dose on different application time of potassium shows regular yield at all parameters.
