SKRIPSI PENGARUH PEMANGKASAN PUCUK DAN PUPUK DAUN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN TURUS PANILI (Vanilla planifolia Andrews)

ABSTRACT

The research about influence of tipping and foliar fortilizers on the growth vanilla cutting was carried out at Candi- retno Village, Secang District, Magelang City, Central of Java in April until Juli 1991. The soil type Latosol with pll 5,5 and altitude 380 metres sea level.
The experiment used the Split Plot Design, according Ran- domized Completely Design (RCD) with consist of two factors, each combination was replicated three time.
The first factor is the tipping (X) as the main plot consis- ting of four level:
M0 = No tipping
M1 = Tipping of 2 weeks before cutting was done
M2 = Tipping of 4 weeks before cutting was done
M3 = Tipping of 6 weeks before cutting was done,
Second factor is the foliar fertilizers (D) as the Sub Plot consisting of three levels:
D₁ = Supermes with concentration 1 cc/litre water
D2 = Margaflor with concentration 1 cc/litre water
D3 = Gemari with concentration 1 cc/litre water
Result showed the effect of tipping on the number live of cuttings percentage was significant different but tipping did not effect the length of shoots, number of leaves, number of primary roots, fresh weight of shoots and dry weight of shoots.
The foliar fertilizers treatment give influence signifi- cant on the shoots height, number of leaves, number of prima- ry of roots, fresh weight of shoots and dry weight of shoots. The tipping and foliar fertilizers no interaction.
