SKRIPSI PENGARUH KNO3 DAN POSISI BENIH TERHADAP PEMBIBITAN PALA (Myristica fragrans Houtt.) Varietas Excoda

ABSTRACT

The experiment with the aim of investigating the effect of KNO3, 0,2% and seed position to the seedling nutmeg (Myristica fragrans Houtt.) was carried out at Gebugan village, Kabupaten Semarang, Central Jawa, from 1 Mei 1990 until 30 Juli
1990. The soil type was Andosol, the soil pH 5,5 - 7 with a altitude Of 50O meters above sea level.
The experiment design was arranged factorial method, by design constructed with Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with two factor soaking in water as long as 12 hours (K0) soaking, in KN03, 0,2% as long as 12 hours (K1), and soaking in KN03, 0 ,2% as long as 24 hours (K2).
The second factor was seed planted with the germ pores on the bottom (N1), position seed down ward (N2), position seed with the germ pores on the top (N3).
The result of the analysis showed that the effect of time of soaking KN03, 0,2% to highly significant influence to the
percentage on germination and speed of seed germination and significant influence for lenght of roots, but non significant influence number of leaves, height of seedling, fresh weight and dry weight. While position seed to highly significant influence all but treatment dry weight, this is treatment only significant.
Good is tretment from treatment with of time of soaking KN03, 0,2% as long as 12 hours with position down ward.
