SKRIPSI PENGARUH DIAMETER UMBI BIBIT DAN MACAM ZAT PENGATUR TUMBUH TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN GLADIOL (Gladiolus hybridus L.)
ABSTRACT
The research is to know the effect of seedling bulb diameter and plant growth regulators to the yield and growth of Gladiol (one of cut flowers). It has been done since June 9, 1996 up to October 25, 1996 which is located at Bandungan Horticulture Seed Centre, Ambarawa Sub Dis- trict, Semarang District. Its soil is Latosol and is on 800 meters on the sea and its pH is of 6,8.
It used factorial experiment (4 X 3) with randomized completely block design that consist of three replicati- ons. The first factor is seedling bulb treatment which is classified in four groups as follows: 2,1 3,0 cm, 3,1 - 3,5 cm and 3,6 cm more. - 2,5 cm, 2,6 -3,0 cm, 3,1 - 3,5 cm and 3,6 cm more.
The second factor is plant growth regulators (PGRS) treat- ments as follows: Control, Atonik and Dharmasri 5 EC.
This research indicated that the bulb size influence differently to all observed parameters. The bigger seed- ling bulb produc both higher yield and shorter harvested as indicated by biggest seedling bulb which has highest yield.
Compared by control, the crops that get PGRs treament has higher yield. Atonik treatment can increase diameter of floret. While Dharmasri 5 EC treatment enchance harves- ting time and increase number of bulb.
Interaction between biggest seedling bulb treated by Dharmasri 5 EC give highest yield than other combination for all parameters except both number of floriferousness and diameter of florets. Their highest yield are indicated by biggest seedling bulb treated by Atonik combination.
