SKRIPSI PENGARUH PENGHILANGAN BUNGA DAN POLONG TERHADAP POPULASI HAMA POLONG DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN KEDELAI (Glycine max (L) Merril)
              ABSTRACT
            The objective of this research is to know the influence of flowers and pod losing to population of Etiella zinckene- ile, population of predators and the production of soybean (Glycine max). This research was carried out at village Dumpoh, district North Magelang, region Magelang City, from October 11, 1991 until January 7, 1992. The soil type is latosol, its altitude is 375 meter above sea level.
           The methode that used was Competely Randomized Design with 10 treatments and tested to two varieties of soybean. Those treatments are:
           P1 : Control
           P2 : When 50 percent of plants are flowering, 10 percent of the flowers 
                  are losed
           P3 : When 50 percent of plants are flowering, 50 percent of the flowers 
                 are losed
           P4 : When 50 percent of plants are flowering, 100 percent of the flowers 
                 are losed
           P5 : When 50 percent of plants are pod longing, 10 per- cent of the 
                 pods are losed
           P6 : When 50 percent of plants are pod longing, 50 per- cent of the 
                 pods are losed.
           P7 : When 50 percent of plants are pod longing, 100 per-cent of the 
                 pods are losed
           P8 : When 50 percent of plants are in pod initiation phase,
                  10 percent of the pods are losed
           P9 : When 50 percent of plants are in pod initiation phase, 50 percent of 
                  the pods are losed
          P10 : When 50 percent of plants are in pod initiation phase, 100 percent 
                  of the pode are losed.
          The treatment of flowers and pods losing was non significant to population of Etiella zinckenella. The flower losing was non significant to the yield of dry seeds per plant. The yield per plant would less if the plant losed 50 percent pods while 50 per- cent of plants were in pod longing phase and if plants losed pods while 50 percent of plants were in pod initiation phase.
