SKRIPSI PENGARUH POPULASI WAKTU PEMANGKASAN BUNGA JANTAN TERHADAP HASIL JAGUNG SEMI (Zea mays, L.) VARIETAS BISI-2

ABSTRACT
The research about the effect of population and time of tassels exiling to the yield of baby corn variety BISI- 2, had been carried out since September 7, until November 18 1998 at Kramat Village, North Magelang Sub District, Magelang Regency, Central Java Province, on the altitude 380 m above the sea level. The soil type is lathosol with PH 6,5.
The method experiment use was factorial method has on Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD), consisted of two treatment factors with three replications. The first factor is plant population 166.666, 142.857 and 125.000. Second factor is time of tassel exile moment is still in flag leaf, after five days appear from the flag leaf and after 10 days appear the flag leaf.
The result of the research showed that the population influence increase the number of ears per plant, fresh weight of ears, diameters of ears, length of ears linearly and give increase of number of ears per meter per square and fresh weight of ears per meter per square.
Fast time of tassels exiling treatment increase fresh weight of ears, diameters of ears, length of ears and fresh weight of ears per meter per square, also not give increase the number of ears per plant and number of ears per meter per square.
Combination of populations and time of tassels exiling not give influence for all parameters.
