SKRIPSI SAAT INVESTASI TEK (Cyparus rorundus L. ) DENGAN LAMA PERSAINGANNYA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum L.)

ABSTRACT
Experiment about the effect of infestation time and competition time of purple nutsedge (Cyperus rotundus L.) on the growth and yield of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) with the supervision by Djoko Purnomo, Wartoyo, Historia- wati.
This experiment was conducted August 12, 1992 until October of 12 at Tuguran, Magelang on latosol soil type in altitude of 367 meters above sea level.
This experiment used Completely Randomized Design (RCD), two factors with three replications. The firt fac- tors was infestation time of purple nutsedge (I) with thre three levels:
I1 : O day after planting
I2 : 14 days after planting
I3 : 28 days after planting
The second factor was duration of competition of purple nutsedge (L) with four levels :
LO: 0 day
L1: 7 days
L2 14 days
L3: 21 days
The result of experiment were followed as:
1. Infestation time of purple nutsedge on planting time and competition 21 days duration number of leaves, plant height, fresh
weight of bulbs, dry weight of bulbs, fresh weight of straw is the lowest on the other hand of purple nutsedge, dry weight of
purple nutsedge is the highest.
2. Interaction betwen infestation time and competition ti- me of purple nutsedge effected on fresh weight of bulbs weight dry
bulbs, straw weight of dry of plant, fresh weight of purple nutsedge, weight of dry of purple nut- sedge.
3. Critis period of shallot plant at 14 - 28 days old.
