SKRIPSI PENGARUH JARAK TANAM GANDA DAN PANGKAS PUCUK TERHADAP HASIL TANAMAN KEDELAI (Glycine max (L) Merill) VARIETAS WILIS
ABSTRACT
The experiment is to study the influence of double plant spacing and topping on yield of soybean (Glycine max (L) Merril), Wilis variety. It has been conducted at Pusat Pengembangan Pertanian Unit Palawija (P3PAL/Center of Agricultural Development, Palawija Division) Soropadan, Pringsurat Sub District, Temanggung District), Central Java Province from September 1996 till January 1997. Its soil is Latosol and pH about 6,0 and 550 meters above sea level.
It used factorial experiment (3 x 4) with randomized complete block design consists of three replications. The first factor, double plant spacing, consists of three levels 40 x (10 x 10) cm, 40 x (15 x 15) cm and 40 x (20 x 20) cm. The second factor, apical topping, consists of four levels no topping, apical topping after first leaf grown, apical topping after second leaf grown, apical topping after third leaf grown.
The result indicates that double plant spacing of 40 x (20 x 20) cm increases dry weight, dry seed per crop, dry seed weight per plot and dry weight of 1.000 seeds. The interaction on both treatment, double spacing of 40 x (20 x 20) cm and apical topping after second leaf grown produces highest dry weight seed per plot is about 895,1 g. Evenwhile, interaction both treatment, double spacing with measurement of 40 x (10 x 10) cm and apical topping after first leaf grown produces lowest dry weight seed per plot is about 604,8 g.
