SKRIPSI PENGARUH JARAK TANAM DAN PENYIANGAN TERHADAP HASIL KACANG TANAH (Arachis hypogeae L.)

ABSTRACT

The aim of this experiment was to study the effect of plant spacing and mechanic weeding on the production of groun nuds (Arachis hypogaea L.)
This experiment was carried out at Banyusari Grabag Magelang, from March until June 1987. The soil type is Latosol with an altitude of 565 m.
This experiment was used factorial method with Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with 2 factors. The factors were plant spacing consist of 3 levels (A1: 50x20 cm, A2: 40x20 cm, A3: 50x20 cm), the weeding factors consist of 3 levels (Bo: non weeding, By: weeding 1 times 3 weeks age, B2: weeding 2 times at 3 weeks and 6 weeks age).
The result of the experiment showed that the plant spacing significenly influence to the height of plant. The Az treatment, the plant height was heigher than A2 and A₁ treatment. The weeding treatment significanly influence to the dry weight of plant, the fresh weight of weed, the dry weight of weed, and significantly influence to the height of plant, the fresh weight of plant, the number of full pods, the number unfilled pods. The Bo treatment significantly higher than B₁ treatment on fresh weight of weed, dry weight of weed, and significantly higher than B₂ treatmen on the height of plant, fresh weight of plant, dry weight of plant, and number of unfilled pods, but lower on number of full pods.
The highest dry weight of seeds was reached by the combination of trestment A3B2, 17.306 g (18.459 ku/ha), and than the lowest by the combination of treatment ABO 11.520 g (6.143 ku/ha). A.
