SKRIPSI PENGARUH JUMLAH MATA TUNAS DAN DOSIS PUPUK KALIUM TERHADAP HASIL TANAMAN JAHE VARIETAS GAJAH (Zingiber officinale Rosc.)
ABSTRACT
The experiment "The effect of number stem bud and potassium dose to yield of ginger plant (Zingiber officinale Rosc.) gajah variety". The aim of this experiment is to know the effect of number stem bud and potassium (KCl) dose to yield of ginger plant.
The experiment was carried out Desember 7th 1991 until March 28th 1992, it was located at Kedungsari village,
north Magelang district, Magelang regency, Central Java
province. The soil type is Latosol, on altitude of 380 meter above sea level with pH 6,70.
The experiment used factorial methode with Rondomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) which is consist of two
treatment factors, they are:
The first factor is number stem bud (J) of three level:
J1 : number of stem bud two
J2 : number of stem bud three
J3 : number of stem bud four
The second factor is kalium (KCl) dose (D) of four levels:
D0 : 0 kg/ha
D1 : 150 kg/ha
D2 : 200 kg/ha
D3 : 250 kg/ha
It is replicated to three time for every treatment.
The result of this experiment showed that the treatment of number stem bud is not significant effect to the fresh weight of tuber per hill, the dry weight of tuber per hill, the fresh weight of straw per hill, the dry weight of straw per hill and the harvest index.
Potassium kalium (KCl) dose are has highly significant effect to the fresh weight of tuber per hill, and more high significant effect to the dry weight of tuber per hill, but those are not significant effect to the fresh weight of straw per hill, the dry weight of straw per hill and, the harvest index.
Interaction of number stem bud and potassium dose in this experiment has not significant effect for all parameters obserwed.
The heighest of fresh weight of tuber per hill was obtained by J2D2 treatment combination 583,133 g, while, the lowest was obtained by J3D0 treatment combination 419,866 g.
