SKRIPSI PENGARUH MACAM NAUNGAN DAN LAMA PERENDAMAN BENIH TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT TEMBAKAU ( Nicotiana tabacum L. ) KEDU VARITAS GOBER

SUMMARY
The objective of this experiment is study the influ- ence shade kind and duration of soak on tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) seedling growth of Kedu kind of Gober variety. This experiment was carried out at Secang village, Secang district, Magelang regency, fro to loose 20 July until 4 September 1987. The soil type is Latosol, the altitude is about 440 m above sea level.
The design used was factorial with two factor, arranged in Randomized Compete Block Design, each factor was repli- cated three times.
The treatment factor are:
a. The factor were shade that consisting 3 kind namely:
N1 : The shade of plastic
N2 : The shade of plait bambo
N3 : The shade of straw
b. The factor were duration of soak that consiting 4 level namely:
Lo : The duration of soak, 0 hours
L : The duration of soak, 36 hours
L2 : The duration of soak, 72 hours
L3 : The duration of soak, 108 hours
The observation include the seedling height, number of leaves, leaf width, leaf length, diameter of stem, root length, roots number, fresh weight and dry weight of seed- ling.
The result of experiment showed that shade of kind treatment and duration of soak treatment had very signifi- cant influence to the height of seedling, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, fresh weight, dry weight and roots length of seedling, but had no significant influence to the diameter of stem and roots number of seedling.
