SKRIPSI PENGARUH DOSIS DAN SAAT APLIKASI HERBISIDA GLIFOSAT TERHADAP HASIL TANAMAN JAGUNG (Zea mays L.)VARIETAS ARJUNA PADA SISTEM PENGOLAHAN TANAH MINIMUM

ABSTRACT

Experiment about The effect of Dose and Application Time of Glifosat Herbicide on The Yield of Maize (Zea mays L.). Variety of Arjuna in Minimum Cultivation had been done ini Koripan, Tegalrejo, Magelang. The altitude is 400 meters, latosol soil type, pH soil 5,8. The experiment had been conducted from 26th Januari 1996 until
30th April 1990.

The method of the research is randomized Complete block design, with 11 treatments and three repplications. The kinds of application As (without herbicide/control), Al (dose 2 1/ha, aplication 2 weeks before planting), A2 (dose 2 1/ha, application 2 week before planting), A3 (dose 2 1/ha, application 3 week before planting), A4 (dose 4 1/ha, application 1 week before planting), A5 (dose 4 1/ha, application 2 week before planting), A6 (dose 4 1/ha, application 3 week before planting), A7 (dose 1/ha, application 1 week before planting), AB

(dose 6 1/ha, application 2 week before planting), A9 (dose 6 1/ha, application 3 week before planting), A10 (completely soil cultivated).

Result of the experiment showed that the treatment of dose and application of glifosate herbicide decrease fresh weight of weed and dry weight of weed, increase the weight of fresh of weed and dry weight of weed, increase the weight of fresh ear, weight of dry seed per square per square meters, but does not increase length of ear and number of ears per plot.

The treatment of dose and application time of glifosate herbicide decrease weed coverage value, increase control value of weeds and not effect on maize. The application of the herbicide mays replace the effectivity of cultivation in tern of weed control and maize yield
