SKRIPSI PENGARUH PEMILIHAN BENIH DAN KONSENTRASI PUPUK DAUN NUTRA- PHOS N TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT PEPAYA (Carica papaya L.)

ABSTRACT
A research study about the influence of the seed se- lection and the foliar spray of Nutra-Phos N concentration to the growth of papaya seedling (Carica papaya L.), had been performed from December 25, 1989 to March 5, 1990 in Tuguran, Potrobangsan, Magelang, Central Java. The re- search site located on the altitude of 376 meters, they type of the soil is regosol and pH soil 6,7.
The aim of this study is to find out the influence of the seed selection and the foliar spray of Nutra-Phos N concentration to the growth of papaya seedling.
The study utilized was factorial, consisted of two factors and tree replications which were arranged Rando- mized Complete Block Design (RCED). The treatment given were: The seed selection consisted of three parts. Seeds from the base, middle and the end part of the papaya fruit. The foliar spray of Nutra-Phos N concentration consisted of: 0, 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5 grams in one litre of water.
The result of study showed that seed selection treatment gave a high significant influencend to the length of tap root and the fresh weight of seedling. There were no significant influence to the height of seedling, number of leaves, length of leaves, width of leaves, length of leaves branch, stem diameter and the dry weight of seed- ling.
The foliar spray of Nutra-Phos N concentration gave a high significant influenced to the length of tap root, fresh weight of seedling and significant influence to the dry weight of seedling. There was no significant influence to the height of seedling, number of leaves, length of le- aves, witdth of leaves, length of leaves branch and stem diameter.
Interaction of seed selection and foliar spray of Nutra-Phos N concentration gave no significant influence to all parameters except to the fresh weight of seedling which gave a high significant influence.
