SKRIPSI PENGARUH JARAK TANAM DAN BERAT MULSA TERHADAP PERTUMUHAN TANAMAN JAHE VARIETAS GAJAH (Zingiber officinale ROSC)
ABSTRAC
The experiment effect of plant spacing and weight of mulching on growth of ginger had been carried since Novem- ber, 29-1990 until April 04-1991. Its located at Mertoyudan Magelang. The soil type latosol on altitude 340 m, pH 6,0.
The design was used factorial with Randomized Comple- te Block Design (RCBD), to consist of 2 factor and 3 repli- cation.
First factor : Plant spacing (P) to consist of:
P1 :40 cm x 30 cm
P2 : 40 cm x 40 cm
P3 : 40 cm x 50 cm
Second factor : Weight of mulching (M) to consist of:
Mo : 0 ton/ha
M1 : 5 ton/ha
M2 : 10 ton/ha
M3 : 15 ton/ha
The result of experiment showed that weight of mul-ching different significant to the shoot number, and higly
significant to the leaf number, the fresh weight of roots per plant and the harvest index. The treatment weight mul-
ching non significant effect to the height of plant, the fresh weight of roots per plant, the fresh weight of strow, and the weight of dry straw.
The plant spacing non significant for all parameters non interaction to the treatment combination plant spacing. and weight of mulching. The highest average fresh weight of roots per plant was obtainned by P₁M3 treatment combi- nation (467,26g), while the lowest was obtainned by P3Mo treatment combination (251,72 g).
