SKRIPSI PENGARUH DOSIS PUPUK P DAN PEMANGKASAN CABANG TERHADAP HASIL TANAMAN TOMAT (Lycopersicon Eskulentum Mill)

ABSTRACT
The experiment about the influence of P fertilizer dose and branch pruning to the yield of tomato plant (Lycopersicon esculentum MILL) Var Intan was carried out on November, 7 th, 1988 untill March, 11 th, 1989. This experiment was done in the plastic house, in Sidorejo lor village, distric of Salatiga with altitude 580 M above sea level. Type of soil used in this experiment was latosol with pH 6.
The experiment used factorial design, with the basic design of RCBD (Randomised completely block design), consisted of two factors with three replications.
Factor I. Four levels of P fertilizers doses:
P 0 = 0Kg P2O5 / Ha (control).
P1 = 75Kg P2O5 / Ha .
P2 = 150Kg P2O5/ Ha
P3= 225 Kg P2O5 / H a
Factor II. Three levels of branch pruning:
c0 = Without pruning (control).
c1= Pruning with two steams left (plant with double steams).
c2 = Pruning with one steam left (plant with single steam).
The parameters of observation: number of flower per plant, number of fruit fall per plant, number of ripe fruit per plant, fruit set per plant, weight of ripe fruit per plant, the average weight of each fruit per plant, plant fresh weight per plant, plant dry weight per plant.
The result of this experiment showed that treatment on dose of P fertilizers influenced non significant different to all parameters of observation. Treatment of branch pruning gives significant influence to the number of flower per plant, number of ripe fruit per plant, weight of ripe fruit per plant, the average weight of each fruit per plant, plant fresh weight per plant, plant dry weight per plant. It also shows that interaction betwen P fertilizer dose and branch pruning give non significant influence to all para meters observation.
Treatment with P fertilizer in the dose of 75 Kg P205 per hectare on tomato plant without branch pruning tends to produce of fruit highest.
