SKRIPSI PENGARUH MEDIA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN STEK PANILI (Vanilla Planifonia, Adrews)
ABSTRACT
An experiment on the effect of media of plant on the growth of vanilla cutting (Vanilla planifolia, Andrews) was done from March 4, 1990 untill June 10, 1990 at Potrobangsan village, district of North Magelang, Magelang recency, Central Java Province. The site of the experiment was located at 376 meters above sea level and the soil type was regosol with an acidity (pH) of
6.8-7.0.
The design used was Randomized Completely Block Desing (RCBD), consisted of treatments and replicated five times. Those treatments are:
P1= soil media (as controle)
P2 = sand media
P3= 1 sand media : 1 soil media (1:1)
P4= 1 soil media: 1 organic fertilizer (1:1)
P5= 1 sand media: 1 organic fertilizer (1:1)
P6 = 1 soil media: 1 sand media: 1 organic fertilizer (1:1: 1)
The result of this experiment showed :
1. The media treatment effected significantly on the number of roots and effected very significantly on the percentage of life cuttings, length of bud, number of leaves, length of roots, fresh weight of bud and dry weight of bud.
2. The usege of mixed soil and manure (P4) showed the best growth of cuttings comared to controle.
3. The usage of mixed sand and manure (P5) showed the worst growth of cuttings compared to controle.
4. The usage of mixed and manure (P4) showed the highest average value on the parameters of the length of bud, number of leaves, length of roots, fresh weight of bud and dry weight of bud.
5. The combination of manure and sand (P5) showed the lowest average value on the parameter of the percentage of life cuttings, length of bud, number of leaves, length of root, fresh weight of bud and dry weight of bud.
6. Sand media (P2) showed the highest value on the para- meter of life cuttings and number of roots.
7. Sand mixed with soil (P) showed the lowest average value parameter of the number of roots.
