SKRIPSI PENGARUH MEDIA FREKUENSI PEMBERIAN AIR PADA PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT KALIANDRA (Calliandra calothyrsus M.)

ABSTRACT
The experiment to study the effect of media and frequency of watering on growth of caliandra seedling (Calliandra calothyrsus M.) had been conducted since 26 February 1998 until 26 April 1998 at Mungseng village, Temanggung regency. Altitude 390 meters. The method used is factorial experiment (3 X 4) with randomized complete- ly design, consisted of three replications.
The first factor is media, consisted of four levels: Soil and sand, with composition of 1 1 2 1; and : 3 1, each been mixtured with manure. Second factor is frequency of watering, consisted of three levels water- ing every day, every two days and every three days guit. The result of the experiment shows that:
1. Heigh of seedling, diameter of stem, lenght of root, fresh weight and dry weight of seedling are the high- est on composition of 2 1 and mixed with manure.
2. Frequency of watering every two days is highest on height of seedling, diameter of stem, lenght of root. fresh weight and dry weight of seedling.
3. Composition of soil and sand 1 1 and manure, on every three days is the highest on lenght of root.
