SKRIPSI BERBAGAI MACAM UKURAN BENIH DAN KEDALAMAN TANAM BENIH TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT JAMBU METE ( Anacardium occidentale, L )

ABSTRACT
The experiment have about the various of need size and depth of plant of seed of conhew (Anacardium pocidentale, L) had been carried out since Juns 1991 until Octobre 1991 at Potrobanguan, Magelang, Central Java. The soil type is late-
sol with pil 6,5 on altitude 376 metre above sea level. Experiment that is used factorial design that arranged in completly Randomized Design (RCD), consist of two treat-
nent and three replications. The fist treatment, seed size (U) that consist of:
U1 : length 34 mm
U2 : length 29 mm
U3 : length 27 mm
The second treatment, consist of: depth of planting of seed (K) that
8,1 cm in the soil surface K 2,5 cm in the soil surface
2 3 4 cm in the soil aurface
The result experiment show that treatment seed size non significant for the time of germination, germination speed, germination percentage and length of top roots, and significant for the number of number of lateral roots, with very wig- nificant for the height of seedlinge, number of leaves, fresh weight of ght of seedlings. needlings and dry weight thought treatment depth of planting of seed non significant for the length of tap roots, and significant for the number of lateral roots, with very significant for the time of ger mination, germination speed, germination percentage, height of seedlings, number of leaven, fresh weight of seedlings
and dry weight of seedlings. Seed size 34 mm show the best yield at sort parametre. Depth of planting of seed by 2,5 cm in the soil surface show the best yield for all parametre, except time of ger- mination, germination speed and length of tap roots.
