ABSTRACT
The experiment about the effect of kind medius and seed storage duration for the growth seedlings of caca, had been carried out since October 14, 1990 until January 7,11991 at Potrobangsan, Magelang, Central Jawa. The soil type is regosol with pH 6,5 on the altitude 375 m above sea level.
Experiment used factorial methode with arranged by Completly sandomized Design (c) using two treatment and three replications. The first treatment, kind medium (in) Were:

The second treatment, storage duration of seed (L) were:
supervision (the storage without)

The storage of seed as long as 21 day The result experiment showed that treatment kind medium
of non significant for all treatment. Althougn treatment storage duration of seed significant for the leaves mumber and very significant for the percentage of germination seed, seedlings height, length of root, fresh weight of seedlings and dry weight of seedlings. between the both treatment
significantly interaction for seedlinge heigat. The storage of seed as long as 0 dny (supervision) gives the highest for all treatment.
The best combination treatment is My for leaves number, the fresh weight of seedlings and dry weight of seedlings. For the persentage of germination seed the best combination treatment is h and for length root and seedlings neight the best combination treatment is No.
