SKRIPSI PENGARUH JARAK TANAM JAGUNG ( Zea mays L. ) TERHADAP HASIL TUMPANGSARI JAGUNG (Zea mays L.) VARIETAS ARJUNA DAN KEDELAI (Glycine Max L merrill) VARIETAS ORBA
ABSTRACT
The aim of this research is to study the effect of spacing of planting corn on the yield in multiple cropping of corn and soybean.
The experiment was carried out of February to May 1996 at Dayakan Village, Temanggung District, at altitude of 412 metres above sea level, and Latosol type of soil with 6,0 PH.
The experiment uses randomized complete block, concisted of four treatment and four replications. The treatment were spacing of corn 100 cm x 50 cm; 100 cm X 75 cm; 100 cm X 100 cm and 100 cm X 125
The result of the experiment shows that:
1. The increase of corn population can increase plant height and decrease number of filled pods, number of unfilled pods, weight of dry seeds, but there is no respons on weight of 100 dry seeds of soybean.
2. The increase of corn population can decrease weight of corn seeds and its bioenergy, but there is no respons on weight of 100 dry seeds and height of corn..
3. The heighest weight of soybean seeds, 95,1 g/m² is on 100 cm X 100 cm spacing. The heighest weight of corn seeds 125,2 g/m² and bioenergy 772,9 g kal/m² n² is on spacing 100 cm X 100 cm.
