PENGARUH SAAT PEMBERIAN DAN DOSIS BOKHASHI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT TEMBAKAU (Nicotiana tabacum,L.) VARITAS GROMPOL KENONGO

ABSTRACT

An experiment is to study the effect of time ofapplication and dose of bokhasi on growth of tobacco seedling (Nicotiana tabacum, L.) of Grompol Kenongo variety. The experiment was carried out from December 22 1997 to February 26 1998 at Mungkid Village, Mungkid District, Magelang Regency. The soil type is latosol with pH 6,0 and altitude 340 metres.
The research uses factorial experiment (2 x 5) with randomized complete block with three replications. The first factor is time application that consist of bokhasi application at seeding and bokhasi application one a week before seeding. The second factor is dose of bokhasi consist of 0, 250, 500, 750, and 1000 g/m².
The result of research showed is:

1. The effect time application of bokhasi gives result the highest at height of seedling, number of lateral roots, lenght of main roots, fresh weight of straw and dry weight of straw on tobacco seedling.
2. The effect of dose bokhasi gives result the highest at height of seedling, number of lateral roots, lenght of main roots, fresh weight of straw and dry weight of straw on tobacco seedling.
3. Combination between time application and dose bokhasi isn't effect of all parameters research.
