SKRIPSI PENGARUH JARAK TANAM DAN JUMLAH TANAMAN TIAP LUBANG TERHADAP PRODUKSI JAGUNG(ZEA MAYS L.)HIBRIDA C
The aim of this experiment was to study the effect of plant spacing and number of plant per hole on the production of Hybrida c_{1} corn (Zea mays L.).
This experiment had been conducted at Kembanglimus, Borobudur, Magelang, Central Java, from October 1986 un- til January 1987. The soil type is Latosol with an alti- tude of 250 metres.
This experiment was arranged in Randomized Complete- ly Block Design (RCBD) with two factors and three repli- cations. The factors were:
Factor I : plant spacing (R) at four levels.
R_{1} plant spacing, 60 X 40 cm.
R_{2} : plant spacing, 75 X 25 cm.
R_{3} plant spacing, 80 X 50 cm.
R_{4} plant spacing, 100 X 40 cm.
Factor II number of plant per hole (P) at three levels.
P_{1} 1 plant per hole.
P_{2} plant per hole.
P_{3} : 3 plant per hole.
From the result of this experiment, it could be con- cluded that:
1. The plant spacing treatment had no significant influ- ence to the number of ears per plant, diameter of ears, dry weight of kernels per ear and weight of 1000 seeds. The plant spacing treatment had significant influence to the height of plants, length of ears, dry weight of kernels per plot, fresh weight of straw and dry weight of straw.
2. The number of plants per hole treatment had no signi- ficant influence to the dry weight of kernels per plot. The number of plants per hole treatment had signifi- cant influence to the height of plants, number of ears
