"SKRIPSI KONSENTRASI DAN LAMA PERENDAMAN DALAM LARUTAN HCL PADA PERTUMBUHAN BENIH TOMAT (Lycopersicum esculentum, Mill.) VARITAS 206"
ABSTRAC
The research entitled the effect of concentration and submersion time at HCl on Growth seedling of tomato (Lyco- persicum esculentum, Mill.) on 206 of variety had been carried out in May 11th, 1999 to July 13th, 1999. The re- search was in Balai Benih Induk (BBI) Hortikultura Salaman, Magelang Regency. The type of soil is latosol, pH 6,0. The altitude is 296 meters.
The method of experiment is factorial experiment (4x4) on completely randomized design, consisted of three repli- cations. The first factor is concentration of HCl 0, 25, 30 and 35%. The second factor is submersion time 0, 15, 30 and 45 minute.
The result of this experiment shows that the increase of concentration of HCl can increase yield on all of para- meters. The treatment of 35% HCl cocentration increases on all of parameters, that is percentage of germinated seeds, growth rate of seeds, number of leaves, fresh weight of shoots, dry weight of shoots, fresh weight of roots, and dry weight of roots, higher than concentration of 25% and 30%. Submersion time of seed until 15 minute increases fresh weight of shoots, dry weight of shoots, fresh weight of roots, and dry weight of roots but does not increase percentage of germinated seeds, growth rate of seeds and number of leaves.
