SKRIPSI PENGARUH INTENSITAS PENYIANGAN DAN JUMLAH BIBIT TIAP LUBANG TERHADAP HASIL TANAMAN PADI (Oryza sativa L. ) VARIETAS IR 64
              ABSTRACT
The objective of this experiment is to know the in-
fluence of weeding intensity and the number of seedlings
per hole on the yield of rice plant. The experiment was
carried out from September, 1992 until January, 1993 in
Ngrapah village, Banyubiru district, the regency of
Semarang, on the latosol soil type, wet land with pH 6,5,
altitude 476 metres above sea level.
This factorial experiment was used Randomized
Completely Block Design (RCBD), consisted of two factors
and three times replication. There were 12 treatment
combinations.
Factor I : Weeding intensity (I), consisted of four
               levels:
             I0 : Without weeding
II : One times weeding (on three weeks after planting)
12 : Two times weeding (on three weeks and five weeks
                   after planting)
I3 : Three times weeding (on two weeks, four weeks and
                  six weeks after planting)
Factor II: The number of seedlings per hole (B), consisted
                of three levels:
B1 : One seedling per hole
                B2: Three seedlings per hole
                B3: Five seedlings per hole
The result of this experiment showed that weeding
intensity was influenced to the number of total tillers,
number of productive tillers, lenght of panicle, number of
grains per panicle, weight of 1000 dry grains, weight of
dry grains per plot, weight of fresh weeds, weight of dry
weeds and did not influence to the age of flowering and
number of empty grains per 1000 grains.
The number of seedlings per hole was influenced to the
number of total tillers, number of productive tillers, age
of flowering, lenght of panicle, number of grains per pani-
cle, weight of 1000 dry grains and did not influence to the
number of empty grains per 1000 grains, weight of dry
grains per plot, weight of fresh weeds and weight of dry
 weeds.
Interaction between weeding intensity and the number
of seedlings per hole did not influence to the all para-
meters were observed.
The highest yield of the dry weight of grains per plot
at treatment of IB (three times weeding five seedlings
per hole) was 5,43 kg/ plot or 10,86 ton/ha and the lowest
at treatment IB (without weeding three seedlings per
 hole) was 2,45 kg/plot or 4,90 ton/ha.
