SKRIPSI PENGARUH KONSENTRASI DAN LAMA PERENDAMAN AIR KELAPA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN STEK LADA (Piper nigrum L.)
ABSTRACT
An experiment about the effect of concentration and
soaking time of coconut water on the growth of pepper
cutting (Piper nigrum L.) had been caried out from March
25 until July 10, 1990 at Cengang quarter, Tanjungsari
village, Sapuran Subdistrick, Wonosobo, Central Java.
The elevation is about 760 m with a soil pH of 6,5 and
the soil type is latosol.
Its objective was to gain the effect of coconut
water on the growth of pepper cutting.
The implementing of this research used the randomed
Complete Block Design (RCBS) in factorial, whith three
replications. The treatments were concentration of coco-
nut water (0, 25, 50, 75 dan 100%) and soaking time of
pepper cutting in the solutions (0, 12 and 24 hours).
The result of the experiment showed that coconut
water increased the growth of shoots and roots of pepper
cutting. It effected significantly to the time of appea-
ring shoots, percentage of life cutting, length of
shoots, number of leaves, length of roots, total roots,
fresh weight of shoots, fresh weight of roots, dry
weight of shoots and dry weight of roots.
The best result of pepper cutting showed that soa
king solution of coconut water in a concentration of 25
% for 12 hours (AP1).
