The research entitled the influence of soaking dura- tion and the concentration effect of IBA toward the orchid growth of Vanda gentabandung was carried out at borobudur Orchid Park in Magelang regency, from august 1990 January 1991. to
The experiment was factorial based on Complete Ran- domized Design (CDR) with two treatment factors and three replication.
The factors were as follows:
a. Soaking treatment factor by three steps:
W1 : 12 hours soaking duration
W2 : 24 hours soaking duration
W3 : 36 hours soaking duration
b. IBA treatment factor by four steps:
Ko: Without applying IBA (use aquadest)
K1 : Treatment 750 ppm/1 IBA
K2: Treatment 1000 ppm/1 IBA
K3 Treatment 1500 ppm/1 IBA
The research was carried out towards the height of pillars, amount of leaves, roots, length of roots, weight, dry weight. fresh
The result of this analysis has shown that treatment
combination :
W2K1 (24hours soaking duration with IBA concentra- tion of 750 ppm/1) has shown to the best result of the plant height
W3K1 (36 hours soaking duration with IBA concen- tration of 750 ppm/1) has shown the best result for the amount of leaves and roots length
W3K2 (36 hours soaking duration with IBA concen- tration of 1000 ppm/1) has shown the best result for fresh weight and dry weight orchid pillars. of
