SKRIPSI PENGARUH BENTUK DAN TINGGI LANJARAN TERHADAP PRODUKSI TANAMAN KACANG PANJANG ( Vigna sinensis Savi L. ) VARIETAS USUS HIJAU

ABSTRACT
The experiment concerning "The effect of form and height of plant support on yield of bean (Vigna sinensis Savi L.)" had been conducted at Potrobang- san, North Magelang, from December 1995 to March 1996 on Latosol soil with a pH of 6,5 and an altitude of 380 meters above sea level.
This factorial experiment used Randomized Com- plete Block Design (RCBD), consisted of two factors and three replications. Factor I: Form of plant support (B), consisted of 3 levels, Single form, "X" form and Fence form of plant support. Factor II Height of plant support (T), consisted of 4 levels: 100, 150, 200 and 250 cm height.
The results of this experiment are:
1. Treatment of form of plant support increase significantly the number of pods per plant, weight of pod per plant, length of pod per plant and weight of dry plant. There is not significant effect on age of harvesting, flowering time and
weight of fresh plant. 2. Treatment of height of plant support gives significant effect on all parameters observed.
3. Combination between form of plant support and
height of plant support does not show any
interaction on the age of harvesting and time of
flowering. Whereas on number of pods, weight of
pods, length of pods, fresh weight and weight of
dry plant it shows an interaction.
4. The form of "X" gives the highest number of pods, weight of pods, fresh weight of plant and weight of dry plant with it's height between 200-250 cm.
